Each year, A.R.T. raises funds from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government organizations to help subsidize, and fund, arts programs throughout the K-8 Chicago Public Schools system.

APPLICATIONS DUE FRIDAY, MAY 16, 2008 by 5pm

The number of donated programs vary, depending on the level of funding each year, and schools are encouraged to apply for a donated program through a special application process.

Types of programs that are typically donated:

RESIDENCIES
Multi-session programs (typically 6-16 sessions in length) serving four classrooms. Some residencies include a field trip to an area museum to strenthen learning.

WORKSHOPS
Programs (a few days in length) serving two classrooms.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Professional artists present arts-integrating teaching strategies to classroom teachers (varying in length from one-day programs on staff development days, or week-long paid-training opportunities over the summer).
