CALL TO ARTISTS
Seeking unique visual artists who know how to:
- Share knowledge and experience with children
- Make art come alive for students (and their teachers)
- Draw from students' own creativity and experience
- Engage in meaningful hands-on creative experiences and have a lasting impact on the life of a child.
Programs
Workshops
Share expertise in a meaningful 1-1/2 hour session with students in a classroom setting.
Residencies
Build on-going relationship with teachers and students over a 6 week
period (may be up to 16 weeks). Present a comprehensive and cohesive curriculum
with a student centered focus.
Qualities
Ability to take initiative, work independently, be creative and reflect the diversity of the students we serve.
Contractors
Professional artists who provide a full range of services including planning, preparing materials, meeting with teachers and staff, teaching classes and participating in culminating events.
Compensation
Contractor's fee includes materials, expenses and transportation.
Support
A full staff of professionals including the
Education Director and a network of 36 artists in the field. Access to an
amazing slide collection of visual images.
