Nancy VanKanegan received a BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MA from Columbia College in Interdisciplinary Arts. Nancy enjoys using her experience as a practicing and exhibiting artist, a parent and a performer to help children find connections between academic subjects and art history. Nancy notes that facilitating a positive art experience for the students helps her to expand her own creative goals. As a parent of two children, the in-school experience has enabled Nancy to better understand students from both sides of the desk. Her travels in Europe and Mexico allow her to speak of many works of art from a personal viewing experience. |
