Jamie Thome has a BA in English from Central Missouri State University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts: Book and Paper Art, from Columbia College Chicago. Previously, Jamie has taught preschool for four years, where her calm demeanor and creativity were enormous assets. Jamie places an emphasis on art and literacy in the classroom as evidenced in the Creative Writing and Bookmaking and Young Artists residencies she teaches with A.R.T. Her main goal in creating art is to make things that people respond to in a profound and moving way. |
